Dr. Bing Wang is the Founder and Senior Design Principal of HyperBina Design Group,
which is one of the vehicles and entities for Dr. Wang’s engagements with the built
environment. Dr. Wang personally directs the design of each of the company’s projects.
Her interdisciplinary and cross-cultural practice is most noted for her expertise
in both design and the capital markets and for her broad dimensions in the integration
of design, real estate, and the built environment.
Dr. Wang bridges the fields of real estate and design, and brings global experience as a senior executive of investment and development companies. She worked as an investment advisor for Lehman Brothers. In addition to founding HyperBina Design Group, she also founded two private equity real estate firms, KaiLong REI and Yongyou Investments. She was one of the two majority shareholders and co-founders that brought in Citibank, Starwood Capital, Cargill, and Rockpoint as founding shareholders for her real-estate-focused company.
Dr. Wang’s research manuscripts on micro-housing in the US and community resort developments in China won Best Manuscripts Awards by the American Real Estate Societies in 2016 and 2018. She sits on the editorial and advisory boards of Journal of Planning Theory and Practice (UK), Journal of Sustainable Real Estate (USA), The Encyclopedia of Ecological Culture (China), and German Journal of Real Estate Research (Germany).
